Tiiu was diagnosed with the first food allergy as a baby and during the coming years the list of foods to avoid only grew longer and longer. When she had only 5 safe foods left to eat she decided to take charge of her own health and she started studying nutrition. Just that she didn't knew back then that most of the answers for her health issues would be in her genes.
The next 8 years or so, were really hard for both her and for her loved ones. Despite staying on strict diets and trying out all the possible variations of the exclusion diets, she kept having frequent anaphylaxis episodes and her symptom list only grew bigger. Doctors were able to treat only her symptoms.
The turning point in resolving her health issues was when she was finally diagnosed with Sulfite issues in 2011 after an anaphylaxis from a kiss.
Few years later and the Sulfite issues where confirmed Genetic and she also got an other important diagnosis: G6PD deficiency. This was a huge relief. Now she knew why there had been all those various serious symptoms during her whole life after eating legumes, or taking certain drugs.
Pieces to her own health puzzle started to come finally together.
Tiiu has a diagnosis for an IBD - Ulcerative Colitis since 1991, but she has her chronic disease under control with carefully planned diet and supplement protocol and keeping her body free of certain pathogens.
Tiiu is obsessed about parasites having gone through various parasitic infections from tapeworms to giardia, and from ascariasis to hookworms.
Her sensitive nose will pick up various molds due to the past Black mold exposure, which also affected on her health enormously.
She has learnt through her own issues, how to keep silent viruses like Epstein Barr, what kind of diet works for Rosacea etc.
She knows that the gut health is the key thing to get better and to get rid of various food intolerances and other health issues.
Food plays a huge role in healing and for her own healing journey one other key point was when Tiiu understood the importance of Glyphosate and GMO free food. Switching to organic diet was one thing what helped Tiiu to gain back her own gut health and that is what she is sharing with everyone.
Her own food issues, both true allergies and intolerances taught her how to create allergen free recipes which are all free of gluten, corn, buckwheat, oats, yeast, refined sugars etc. No artificial sweeteners, no vegetables gums are ever used.
All recipes are of course G6PD safe, so no legumes are used. Sulfite free, so only ingredients which don't have any added sulfites are used.
Since Tiiu has tried out every possible diet which is out there some of the recipes are also free of dairy, eggs and tree nuts.
She believes that there is no single diet which will work for everyone and most people benefit from personalised diet and as today the SNPs and genes can give valuable information for planning those diets. Tiiu herself got the answers from a genetic test and she says that the genetic test probably saved her life!

Tiiu is also an International Ski Jumping judge and this hobby has given her also an opportunity to work in events like Olympic Games and various World Championships. This is a hobby she has kept doing despite her challenging health issues and various allergies.
Reading and spending time with her loved ones are the moments when she relaxes.
And of course spending time in the summer cottage her family has in a small island in Finland.
